Volunteers make ABVI’s mission come to life through their compassion and dedication to those who they are helping to serve. We ask that our volunteers simply share our same passion and bring with them their own unique skill sets. Other specialized training and accessibility can be provided as needed.

Volunteer Greeter

Become a volunteer greeter to welcome clients

The volunteer greeter will welcome clients and provide them with needed paperwork and seat them in the lobby.

 

Qualifications:

  • The ideal volunteer enjoys a quiet office setting and can bring a book, knitting materials or other materials to help pass the time between client appointments

ABVI Store Volunteers! 

Volunteer in our Store!

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Client Service Telephone Follow-up Specialist

Volunteer as a Client Service Telephone Follow-Up Specialist!

Volunteer Specialist will make phone calls to clients and support group participants. During your phone calls you will make sure our services have met others needs, and to see if additional services would be useful.

Time Commitment: As determined between ABVI staff and volunteer.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use a telephone
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
  • Willingness to follow established procedures.
  • Respect for privacy and client confidentiality.
