Roxy found herself struggling to read her mail, books and manage her bills. She was not able to see pictures of her grandchildren, and even struggled to see their faces until she got up close. Glaucoma and Wet Macular Degeneration had severely damaged her vision.
More and more she became very sad and withdrawn.
Roxy followed her doctor’s advice and came to ABVI for help. Our staff provided hand-held magnifiers, video magnifiers, special pens and in-home training. She was able to once again read, pay her bills and enjoy family pictures… and more. And she also participates with our local Support group.
